Default heritage seat advise

ok my old girl tried to kill me this weekend. did a 350 mile ride and i was about to kill over when i got home. thinking a new or better seat might help and i know that seats are a personal thing but would like input on better seats.

i know people say that the stock heritage seat is good, but surely there are better. things i don't want is something that pushes me forward on the bike. i would like to stay in the stock location.

would prefer a solo seat as the OL doesn't ride with me (she's fixing to have a knee replacement). been looking at the mustang solo with backrest, saddlemen with backrest and the sundowner.

i've had a couple back surgeries, have some screws and rods in my lower back. i think a backrest would help out, but not really sure. any input would help! also looking at a grasshopper backrest for the stock seat but would have to put the pass pad back on.

Much as I hate dealing with them (very slow to respond to overseas enquiries) Corbin seats do it for me, and they have rider backrest versions.

I just put a stock 2012 Road King seat on my Lowrider for long trips...best seat ever!

i don't think a road king seat will fit a heritage. measured my brothers 06 king and it's way different. would be a nice idea since his RK has a removable backrest.

I like my Mustang seat. I can walk after a long day, not too hard or too soft.

I have back issues riding anything without a backrest. With one, I can do 600 miles in a day and not be sore at all.

Back rests are good. But for the butt, an air-hawk is amazing!

Corbin was the worst seat I ever had as far as comfort.....Saddlemen gel seat I love. Mustang is supposed to be great for comfort from what I hear, however I personally don't like their look.
