oil light on after cam install
#23
was busy today with work responsibilities...drained oil pulled filter, and cut had a few filings in there and the lines small stuff filled oil tank with kerosene gonna let it set going to replace all oil lines also as they still have the factory clamps on them. ordered overhaul gasket set, and getting new rings when i see if it is still stock, they claim they will have them in stock. 30 mile one way trip to dealer. am i forgetting anything? will probably be sunday before i can work on it again. bummed but resigned and satisfied of the fact that i will have a fresh engine on a bike with 45000 miles. this bike is really clean and i wouldnt trade it for anything ive seen as yet. thanks in advance

after taking the top end off in place ( and re install after you put the block back in the chassis ) that is the way we do it in my shop found it to be easyer if your alone --
when you get to spliting the cases the right side will slide off the left side but a press will be needed to remove the left case from the flywheels - special tool needed to re install the flywheels into the left case <
pushing on the tapers using a press to re install the flywheels can and will put them out of true, rent or buy the tool or it will become the same mistake -- johnjzjz

I have never seen it in a kit but I could be wrong if you have a Honda or Yamaha dealer close by pick up a tube its cheaper than harleybond if you have never used it before
here is a few things to remember
#1 prep prep prep make sure both halfs are clean and dry brake cleaner work good to get the old glue off
#2 a little goes a long way about 1/16 bead all the way around and around every hole
#3 wait 24 hours full cure after gluing them together before you put any oil near it
