They are the same thing, right?
Are S&S good ones?

I was thinking about just going back to stock ones...... is there really any advantage to paying for "premium" lifters/tappets/tappers/lifters?

The aftermarket ones will unleash 500 HP.
Some of the aftermarket ones are constructed better than others.

Got 4 sets for $40 or something. One day I'll put them in. My buddy put a set in his stage 4 103 and loves them. eBay to the rescue for those.

Hylift Johnson used to be the main manufacturer of lifters for Harley Davidson... I can't see paying any extra for fancy S&S lifters when the Hylift Johnsons work great and have a good reputation. No problems with mine so far.
