Nothing is impossible. There is only a varying level of difficulty. What exactly did you want for a tach? A little mini tack on your handlebars? Something built into the speedo? Shop around and find what you want. Electrically, it is straight forward. Typically 3 wires: Ground, +12v and coil negative, plus one more for the dash light, if it is switched.

You can get one but they are gonna cost big $$$.
Since you have the electronic speedo it is easy.
The best looking one I have seen costs about $500.
It has the speedo over the top of the arc and the tach on the bottom of the arc.

Harley makes one too (an all in one) but they're impossible to find. There's a couple still out there on the east coast. I wanted to do the same thing when my mechanic told me, "what the hell do you want to be watching your gas tank for when you're accelerating for?" and then I realized I only wanted one because I thought it would look cool sitting still. The tach isn't telling me anything that my ears can't tell me, be it sitting still or riding down the road. Please let us know what you end up putting on and how it works. Good luck!

The Harley one is discontinued.
I like the tach because it can tell me what gear I'm in at a given speed.
Granted it takes a little bit to get used to it but that is how I use it.
It also helps setting the 1k idling speed. My ears ain't that calibrated.

Your local HD Dealer will do a dealer search for you. I know there are two of the discontinued speedo/tachs still available, both were on the east coast. Call em, they'll ship it. They do exist. You'll have to take it back into your local dlr and they will calibrate the odometer to match your current ride.
