Default Trying to find hardware for saddlebag lids

My Rt saddle bag, the front latch? hinge has a slot worn all the way through literally cut itself in half. The front will not stay on if I ride, it vibrates out of place anyone know where to get these two pieces? HD says not available and I cant find them

Knowing the year of your bike would help.
Those latches seldom show up on ebay, but being vigilant might pay off.

Pic of the damage would help. It may be repairable if we can see it.

Anything can be fixed. Yeah, we need to see it. Worst case: Drill the rivets out, take what's left, weld on some more stainless, grind to shape, polish, rivet back on. Done.

Or just make a new one from scratch. However once we confirm the parts we may be able to find new ones tucked away somewhere. It may also be worth trying some of the online parts people, like Ronnies, Granite, etc. Those parts are currently priced at less than 40 bucks, if I have guessed right.

from the looks of the scooter in the picture I'd say it's the 1992 and earlier bags. There was a bracket riveted to the lid with an elongated slot and a "tongue" on the bag that slid into the slot. 90747-79 and 90745-79 are the part numbers.

Front hinge assy, it says to '84, but I think they're the same.

Look through tombuyandsell items for the rear latches, I used his on the bags and tourpack and they work perfect, screws and everything you need is supplied with his kits.
