i have a 96 fatboy with an evo in it i wanna run an s&s super e carb can i run it using the stock intake or do i need both the s&s carb and intake?

 

If you still have the stock intake for a stock cv carb, you will have to change manifolds. CV manifolds do not have a flange to accept S&S carb.

S&S Super E is an excellent carb. If you're starting from scratch I would just order the whole kit with the intake, etc.. I had to use the S&S everything from the air cleaner to the intakes on my FLSTC. But, that was a really good carb.

 

Short answer is yes you need both.
