straight 50
Changed oil the other day and decided to try some Valvoline straight 50 weight racing oil. I had heard that it made the old evos run a little quieter. It did on my bike. A lot of that annoying ticking is gone. May try straight 60 when we get in to mid 90's Mississippi summer. Only down side I could see would be running this oil in cold weather.

I run 60w in summer, quiets the engine and keeps that pesky oil light out.

Straight 60 will be going in mine next oil change for the summer months. Straight 50 or 60 is almost a requirement for the deep south boys and old evos.

Straight grade oils are only suitable for warmer climes! I used them in my shovel, way back when.
