Default Air horns

Thinking about installing a set of air horns on my bike. Getting tired of being run off the road by teenage texters drifting across the center line. Revco has a set for $179 at J&P cycles. Anyone got air horns on their bike? Any tips or suggestions on a good one to buy?? Friend of mine that drives a PeterBuilt has an air horn that sounds just like a train horn. I mean LOUD! It was on the truck when he bought it. I wonder if something like that could be hooked to a bike?

I have the Rivco dual air horns on my 95 Fatboy - they are definitely LOUD! Puchased fo $155 from Eastern Performance April 2011 - they have saved my butt twice already in situations where minivan moms were paying attention to kids in the back instead of scooters on the side of them. The 2 year warranty is expired but never had a problem and they're just as loud today as 2 years ago. Oh... and they sell parts (compressor, horns ..) if ever needed for repair ....my $.02

If only they could make a small airhorn set that sounded good and not some high pitched wiener sound.

I got a
Stebel Nautilus Air Horn Stebel Nautilus Air Horn
but from what I can tell is the same as a Wolo. Just cost less. It's the loudest I could find at 139 db. But it is a higher pitch than I like but that maybe why it can be heard. Don't know.

Default Mini Beast II

I had the Mini Beast II installed on my Tri-Glide before delivery. I was very happy with the ability to alert every cager even with their windows up and all sorts of distractions. But, I decided to install the FCS fans to improve cooling, and the fans are not compatible with the MB II, so I put the somewhat lamer OEM horn back on.

If you are OK with the shape & look of the MB II I highly recommend it. I am now contemplating the various air horn options that are compatible with the FCS fans, or considering an alternate location for the MB II.

Here it is. The Stebel is the horn used in the mini beast. (You're just paying for the jacket at $170 or so.) And this one does sound like a frigging train! Very, very loud.

I installed it 6 months ago and don't dare "beep" to say goodbye to the wife at 5:30 a.m. anymore.
