Default Fall away too loose?

Hey guys, so when coming to a stop at really low speeds the bike wants to "wander" around, and I find myself constantly counter-steering to keep it straight, hence I end up looking like a jackass.
I've tightened the neck bearings to what I feel is correct, but do I need more preload? It sure feels like I do. Or could it actually be a problem like worn bearings? I kinda doubt it w/ 15k on the bike.
What do you guys think, tighten her up a little more?

Had the same problem. About 1/2 turn on the neck bolt. GONE!

Jack up bike, slacken lower triple tree clamps, adjust bearings until the feel "notchy" then back off a tiny bit at a time until the notchy feeling goes away.

You have to tighten everything back up each time you test it but its worth the effort.

They aren't anywhere near that tight. Will do, thanks.

I might try seafoam if that doesn't work, I heard it tightens bearings up good! Now if I could just remember who told me that.......

I know on a 97 flhr.

Jack up bike so tires are level.

Full clock right

Let go.

Needs to go left. Right and start going left again.

If past center. Toghten. If doesn't get to
Final left. Loosen.

Also, when it's up on the lift, hold one lower with one hand, grab the tire at the bottom, inline with the forks, with the other hand, and check if you can feel excessive end play in the wheel bearings.
Check for play on rear to.

Drop the brake calipers off the fork leg first, especially if you have twin discs.

I just inspected/repacked the front bearings when I had the wheel off for polishing and new tire. I'll check the rears. Good advice.
