Meaning of engine stamp?

Default Meaning of engine stamp?

Can anyone decifer for me what this engine stamp on my bike tells me about when and where the engine was made. Trying to figure out if it is stock. Bought it used.

It is a partial VIN number.
It is just there so the engine can match the frame.

Check VIN for all info on the bike.

The partial VIN indicates 1989 FLHTCU
1340 Evo

The Dyslexic DKM number was probably applied by other than MoCo
DK being a Shriner Ultra. but M is an Evo 883
That Number pad, is Decidedly Not on a Sportster....

Those are Delkron crankcase numbers, not Harley-Davidson. Do the bottom of the cases have a sump plate?

^^ Agree...hence the DK...Huh??
And... Delkron are beefy enough to recess the pad that far and have zero effect on strength..
