Default manual

gotta get a repair manual for my bike so i can save money and be a do it myselfer. i aint no motorcycle mechanic, but i got some skills and can follow directions. so which manual is best for a beginner, the hd moco manual, chilton, or clymer?

I agree. The HD manual has many pictures along with the text to help you with about any repair or understanding how things work.

The factory manual has probably saved me thousands of $$$ over the last 25 years. I have no experience with the others.

i got a factory dyna manual for 1997 and 1998 pn99481-98 in great shape would trade for 1998 factory touring manual. any takers?

Another vote for the Factory book. I would recommend a Factory parts book to go along with it. Good exploded views and shows just about every screw, nut, and bolt on you bike.

The factory repair manual is a must, then the factory parts manual and finally the factory wiring manual.

Here is another vote for the factory manual and the factory parts manual.

I tried looking something up in a Clymer manual once and was extremely unimpressed with the thing.
