Default fun factor

this is not a bitch session, but, here it goes. tradedup from 98fxdwg to 98 flhtc a few weeks ago. the dresser is a sweet ride, but, i think the wide glide was more fun to ride. i ride alot of back roads and the dresser handles totaly different than the wide. my wife is totally more comfortable on the dresser. it is not that i am not comfortable with the dresser, iam a big guy,6 ft 1 and 275, i just like the wat the wide glide goes through the turns. maybe the skinny front tire has something to do with that. anyway i will get usedto the difference in rides. anyone else go through this change got some thoughtson this.

I went from an 1979 FLH.........to a 97 Wide Glide.

The Wide Glide feels like my old sportster now....I can even back this thing up hill if needed.

Yeah, there's good and bad to every model, depending on you view. At almost 300lbs lighter with a lower center of gravity, the glide's going to be more fun in the twisties and more responsive to the throttle, no way around it. The dresser, more comfortable and stable on the highway...You have to decide on your style of riding and choose accordingly.

That's what I meant. By all means, keep the bagger! Maybe find an old evo glide fixer upper for some solo fun too!

Or, by a BEAUTIFUL 1995 Virago XV 1100 and find out how a Japper tears up the curves.

I happen to know of one for sale BTW.

I was leaving the beach in my truck today, and saw a lady pushing her dead Virago. I had no tools, so I couldn't help her. I should have stopped anyway. Shame on me.
