Ok, this is purely a guess as I've never had to really mess with one but it looks as though the arm has an awful lot of play in it. Can the top bolt be tightened? maybe it's just too loose. Or, you can get a whole new assemble from JP for about $60.00, a small price for the safety of a kickstand that won't fall down

Guesses count too and can be helpful. Nut is already torqued as far as its suppose to go but yes I too feel that the arm is awfully loose, I'm just not sure whether its from a worn out kickstand or spring problem or what.I have no problem buying parts.

Just replace the whole assembly - small price to pay for safety. That could be a major accident waiting to happen. Good luck.

If you got time perhaps you can post a pic of proper location?
Thanks a bunch

Might not be your whole problem, but it just pulls off.

Here you go:

Personally, I don't know if there's an advantage for buying OEM or a jiffy stand assembly from JP but others here may be able to shed more light on that.

Definitely was too far forward, probably got push putting the jack under. It stops on the bumper now but didn't make any difference. Good thought though.

Can anyone see any reason why the kickstand setup off a 1993 flh won't fit mine?
