Default Is my evo a time machine.

I have a 96 that is about to turn over 100,000 miles, i am at 99,800. Just a few hundred more miles. Will the odometer go back to 00000? Have any of you done it? I think i want to get a picture of this. Will this be cool or what? I have never had a bike over 100,000 miles. Glad to say it still runs perfect, hope for another 100,000. That's kind of why i want a picture, if i ride enough i can show 200,000 miles. I have read about bikes over 200,000 miles, what is the record on a evo Harley, anyone know?

Mine rolled over a little while ago, got to 00177, then started going backwards. Now I'm at 98??? and still going. I'm told this is not normal! Yours may continue forward!

Your '96 had the digital readout.
It will go to 999,999 before turning over.

Nice to hear...it pains me to think about my evo ever wearing out. Sounds like it won't be anytime soon.

On my bike it is still a cable type speedo, it is a flht. it seems like it would probably go back to zero like the trip meter. i will see soon. I never knew the digitals went to a million miles, that would be cool to see, anyone know if its been done on a Harley?

It doesn't matter if you have a cable driven speedo or not.

What matters is how the odometer is set up which is either LCD or numbered barrels.

If you have the LCD display then you will read to 999,999 miles.

Am I missing something here? It is either a 6 digit or a 5 digit odometer. You can't tell by just looking at it? What am I missing?
