Thought I had cured the problem today....... but did a 15 mile trip, no problems......started it several times while hot.....no problems.....several hours later tried another trip and got 200 yards down the road then died.
Bit more history.....
I haven't done the electrical tests yet.....but got hold of a good ignition module tried and no change.
Tried starting the bike cold.....then put some heat on the cam sensor and it wouldn't start.
Assumed that this was the problem and fitted a new one. Then the above happened!
Whilst it is still not starting, I checked and no spark at plugs.
Battery reads about 12.7 volts and is turning the engine easily.
I also checked to see if there was power on the coil whilst ignition was on.....there was about 11.4 volts on each.
Is this likely to be the coil then?
