Default put the old girl on the dyno

Had my 88 flhtc dyno tuned. 80" with a fresh top end, ev23 cam, super e carb, dyna ignition, and a thunderheader. Dynojet 150 was the dyno. She pulled 65 horse and 80 pounds of torque. I guess I was expecting more hp. Do my numbers seem about right? The bike runs and sounds great.

With the cam you have that seems about right, maybe another 3-4HP is possible with that set up but unless you know what it was pulling stock, the figures don't mean a lot because the HP figures can vary.

To compare, I got 75HP from a 1996 Superglide with EV46, some headwork, 10.5 : 1 KB pistons, a Mikuni HSR42 and drag pipes. TQ was close to 85.

That is a lot of work for 10 HP and 5 foot lbs of torque.

I think now I understand why the local indy's are telling me to get a whole motor instead of modding the one I have.

I have a 94 Electra Glide Classic with a Stock 80 inch Harley re-manufactured engine with 4000 miles on it now. Got 101000 mile out of the original engine. Just had the bike on the dyno last week to see mainly how the AFR was.
I have the stage one setup. Screaming Eagle air cleaner , 48 slow jet. dyna-tec single fire ignition, and Cycle Shack mufflers.

Results are : Max HP= 65.48 Max Torque= 77.66 Air/Fuel - consistent 13.9 ?

Original engine with same set up except Super Trap mufflers--

Max HP = 62.5 Max Torque = 76.58 ( dyno done at aprox. 55000 miles )

Time for you to upgrade.
Pull that old, tired 107" and get yourself a shiny new polished 111".
S&S even gave it a part number so you know they will have plenty in stock when you place your order.
It'll go great with your new paint.
Oh, and uh, I'd like a full report on how it works for ya. Interested in all details.
I'd help ya with the money but I'm little short this month...and next month...

He'd rather dull black, nothin' ya gotta polish, right THC?

But I must say, the 111 is fun, fun, fun!

The OL don't poke me in the side anymore, I think she's to busy holding on.

I can't deny I would love to do a swap, but 4" isn't worth it, however I am smitten by the idea of a li'l V124 with low CR and 585 cam. Should do very nicely.....

You are so right.
Who wants to polish when you could be riding?
