HD factory alarm system
Anyone here have one of these factory HD alarm systems on their touring bike?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-David...0d0dcf&vxp=mtr
Wondering if they are any good, or not worth the bother? A neighbor of mine has one from his 98 Electra Glide (sold his bike), which he will just give me for free. Wondering if it's worth wiring it up, or just use the old cable lock?

I installed that kit on my 1998 Ultra. The only difference I did was that I wired the security light to the 2000-2003 gauges I retrofitted earlier.
Not hard to install....the outerfairing came off and the battery was removed. The battery holdown bracket plus some relays plus wiring was relocated. I believe the tank came off as well....been several years ago so I forgot.
Shortly after I installed it.....I installed the siren plus got another key fob.
I recommend it.....never know. I already had one bike stolen.....1998 Road Glide shortly after I bought it.

Thanks all for the HD factory alarm input! My bike is a 97 Road King, and the alarm is for a 98 Electra Glide. From doing some web searching, it looks like it will work on my bike, but I will need the install kit as mentioned by Ultra89Rider. I have had cable locks cut in the past, so I figured an alarm would be an extra deterant. I haven't tried the disk locks?

Second for each new question you should start a new thread.
Third can you give us a picture or part number and brand of the alarm system you bought?
