You should go in more often, won't be such a culture shock then!

The first dealer I used, back in '74, ran a small shop that was no more than the front room of a terraced house, with room for no more than one bike, when he had one. The office was an old bedroom upstairs. Those were the days!

Then in '03 we were riding through Ontario and came across a small dealer out in the middle of nowhere, looking like a small house with a couple of service bays added as a workshop. The showroom was like the front room, with just enough space for some shelving around the walls. Felt great!

Say what you want about those big dealerships but I like them because they have a very large parts storage in back. So far they have had on hand almost every part I needed.

I doubt the small shops would.

Not in my area. Buy my parts from my Indy or the net.

Oddly enough, when I need Ironhead or Shovel parts my dealer is the first port of call...99% success rate so far!

Down here in NZ, Ebay is the way to go for late model aftermarket stuff as it gets here quicker and costs way less even than the Indy can supply it.

Went racing and swore off bikes LOL Rode friends here and there and worked on a few. Just tried like heck too stay away.No more drinking No more driving race cars....Ole EVO sorta followed me home. Soooooo...... you know the rest.
