I think the speedo is 1:1, that doesn't mean you need a 1:1 gear drive! What model and year is your bike? We can help more, with more info.

The front wheel and brake caliper look like mid-70s shovel, so my guess is you want a stock FLH speedo drive unit. Hope that helps a bit!

That contradicts everything I have learned about speedo drives and speedometers.

Everyone else I have spoke to told me I had to match the drive gear to the speedo.

As for finding one call Buds motorcycle shop in Austin Tx.

What you have there is an evo motor in shovel frame. 1:1 speedometers are driven off the trans. 16" front wheel drive should be 2:1...but they make 2240:60 (37:1) for 21inch tires...speedo and drive has to be the same...so you need to get a 2:1 speedo and drive

For what it is worth my "95 FLSTC has a 2240:60 ratio on a 16" wheel.

you guys are awesome BUT i know just as much now as i did before i asked. does it have to match the speedo, is it a stock FLH, or is it a 2:1? my wife is out looking at the drive gear to see what i have in there now or if it has any markings to tell. hopefully that will eliminate 1 of my options lol. anyone else care to place a bet on the one i need?

The way to check what drive gear you have is to take it off the bike.
Put a small flat head (minus) screwdriver into where the cable goes and slowly spin the tab. You can tell by how many times the screwdriver turns compared to how many times the tab rotates in the hole.

For example the screwdriver should rotate 2 times to 1 time for the tab for a 2:1 drive gear.
