Default Washable oil filter

I have an indy trying to get me to buy a washable oil filter.

Is there any gain by going to one of these?

Yeah no kidding.
I think he wants about $100 but that just seems nuts to me.

I thought I would ask here to see if it really is worth it.

Sorry but Im not one to argue the merrits of this filter or that one (as long as its not a Fram) but $100 bucks buys a lot of filters. Me I stick with HD cause it was designed for the twincam and you cant beat 8 bucks for a synthetic media filter.

Either way you still make a valid point.

To be honest I tend to agree with you.
I was just trying to see if anybody had a different opinion.

i use a washable oil filter...i like it

i'm a big proponent of changing oil frequently so it serves its purpose well and i've probably saved money in the long run

It's a couple of years since we last thrashed this one around, but I will never use one. The purpose of an oil filter is to prevent microscopic particles recirculating and the stock style of throw-away filter does that economically.
