that has to be why i was able to fire off ether only and why the gas was not being pulled in. i had put my hand over the carb to simulate choke and i didnt feel much vacuum. this is what had me thinking i had a vacuum leak and that was the only place that made sense. once i get this thing running i have to get the 97 sporty going thats been sitting next to her for the last 5 years. maybe i can convince him to let the sporty go too.

im going to have to rebuild his John Deere loader and repair the tracks on his bulldozer before i attempt the sporty. i have my eye on a broken down dodge ram cummins. i have been wanting to drop a cummins into my 65 chevy long bed.

it keeps me sane to be honest. but my wife and i are both diesel mechanics for the Coast Guard and since she shares my passion for being a compression ignition addict its hard to stop myself.

honestly i am beginning to hate this bike. new intake gaskets same BS problem. i have fuel spraying out the front of the carb but nothing going into the engine.

Did you do the gaskets between the manifold and the heads?
