Oh by the way the stock relay is a 30 amp.
When you replace it go with a 40 amp.
It is just my opinion but I think the 40 amp has better connections.

Just my 2 cents.

NAILED IT. relay was the issue. now comes part number 2. i shoot ether in the carb and she fires on 1 cylinder and wants to start but wont. i cleaned out the carb added fresh fuel. now i have noticed that this bike has an s&s carb on it. there is a lever right behind the air cleaner i can lift up about an 1/8 of an inch. what is that for? mine is not connected.

That lever is your choke and needs to be connected.
It should lift up much higher than 1/8 of an inch.

ok i fixed it and it lifts about a half inch now. it seems to be that she fires on ether but its not getting fuel. whats a carb rebuild kit run these days?

the jet inside the carb is clean and there is fuel in the bowl yet it wont run on fuel.

Does it squirt when you crank the throttle?

there is some spray that comes out the front of the carb. i have the air cleaner off. but choke or not it wont hit on fuel. im stumped. i know its a fuel issue but i cant see why if the jet is clean there is no fuel going into the engine. pulled the plugs and they are dry.
