Default stripped drain plug

i value your opinions so I'm posting. my 94 Dyna has a stripped oil drain plug I've read about many repairs. a new pan is $200, can it be removed easily? should i replace the pan? or is there a good repair i can make?
thanks

If you have read about many repairs , you would probably know that replacing the oil pan is not required and many products are available to rethread the drain plug.

Drill and tap it oversize and use a car plug, your local NAPA or suchlike will have plugs. You can do it with the pan in place.
