Default True duals

If anyone has a set of true duals for my 1985 FLTC or headers and pipes back to the mufflers for sale please let me know. I want to take Ol Red back to original pipes. Here is a pic of my bike and I do not like the pipes.

Used stock pipes are almost give-aways, meaning that they hold very little value. IMO the best place to watch for them would be eBay. You might have to piece them together from various sellers, but you should be able to come up with a complete set before next spring.

You may have difficulty finding TD pipes that will fit. I had a set on my 1990, but they were for later bikes and didn't have enough clearance for the lump on top of the primary. The left pipe kept resting on it.

However a stock set of pipes up to and including 08 may work and should be cheap.

Just thinking out loud here...would there be issues with back pressure on a EVO carb motor using true duals?

A possible, very small possible need to re-jet. Most guys here are fairly awesome with carby advice however. They can usually tinker with the settings for positive results. Almost all pipes are not 'collected, collective' on an Evolution anymore. I am not saying that makes them true duals because that implies one pipe on either side of the bike. Does that make them true singles x 2?
Lol
