RE: I need to borrow a cam bearing puller
As promised here's the pictures.
The tool on the left is the puller along with the slide hammer I made from 3/8" stainless rod with a 1 1/2" aluminum slide that threads into the end of the puller. The puller jaws are spaced using 1/16" s.s. spring I made by wrapping it around a 5/8" bolt. The tool on the right is the cam bearing press I made to install the Torrington. It is an old C-clamp cut and welded to a piece of 1/2 x 2" steel flat stock with 2 holes to mount it to the gear case. The s.s. piece is made from a drilled out 3/4" nut with a 3/4" s.s. rod welded into it.
Here's a close up of the puller with the spring.
Here's a close up of the press in place.
Just for fun, this is what my bike looks like at the moment.

RE: I need to borrow a cam bearing puller
Thanks for the offer Bagga but the cam work is completed now and I'm finished with the bending part for now but I still want to get an ignition module for the bike. I guess I'll never be "finished" with the bike.
Next up is getting the front end blacked out and reinstalling that, I've got the lowers and trees at work waiting for me to get some time to get the lowers stripped and polished. I've got the trees and ignition module cover polished and ready but I want to get everything on one run.
I've got a turbo heater that I usually let run for 10 minutes before I go out to the garage to work but lately it's been staying cold in there. The bike has icicles on it where I've been breathing on it while I've been out there working. BRRRRR! ! ! Where's that damn global warming I've been paying for! [:@]
