Guys im looking for the derby cover and the points cover with the yellow ring around them for grey ghost anyone know where i can locate these 2 parts?

the derby cover and poits cover plus the tin piece that goes around the ignition on the dash are obsolete items no longer offered by HD

 

Yes i am aware of this but im just wondering if anyone through a friend or in general may have them used off a bike for sale.

Ive been trying to find out how many 1990 fatboys were produced but cant get a strait answer mine is #1404 off the assembly line

 

I heard 4400 were made,how can you tell what number each bike was?im looking to pick one up this week,i need the derby cover and points covers because the ones on the bike are not in good shape it was sitting in a damp garage and well you know what that would do.

I found a set of tanks and xtra derby and points cover I bought off a guy in Ohio payed 600.00 so I could put them on mine I have a spare set of derby and points cover .

 

would you be willing to sell them?

 

posibly but to be honest Im keeping the best looking ones for mine.I have a factory HD service manual and it states the lastsix numbers are the sequential number

 

the numbers are on the frame and yes I also heard 4400 were built but havent seen any paperwork to prove it

 

in the last 8 years Ive only found 2 factory sets of tanks for the 90 grayghost and I let the first pair slip past me so when I found the second set I snagged them up you cant even get the decal from a dealership
