Looking for a decent set for my 90 flh but they are CRAZY EXPENSIVE and hard to find!!!! Why? No one makes an inexpensive aftermarket set? $300 or better for used? Why? Supply and demand I guess?

Because they are the first things to get destroyed when the bike goes down, therefor there is a greater demand.

Right on. That was my thoughts but seems like someone (aftermarket) would come out with a reasonably price exact fit? Maybe a good side fiberglass business for someone!

there are some pretty decent aftermarket bags on ebay at times. not exact Harley clones, but not too bad for aftermarket. you can find shovelhead bags and/or random pieces to put a set together pretty cheap. you are going to have to paint anyway. i have seen a single bag or lid for $20-50.. hardware and brackets get kind of pricey..

Your looking for the bags with the battery hollow in the right bag? I'm going to upgrade to late model bags and the bags I have will be for sale soon.

I'll blast some pics.....they aint perfect, there 23 years old and will need some love to bring them back.......I'm thinkin 250 plus ship for bags and lids. I was gunna do it, but the late bags are plentifull and I like the side swing with the lid not coming off.

The trouble you will find is as your model year's (1979-1992) bags are no longer made. They are harder and harder to find undamaged. You will just need to keep an eye out on Craig's List, eBay or contact one of the Motorcycle recyclers. There are several on eBay that you can contact for specific parts.

Pinwall Cycle Parts is one I have gotten parts from before.
