OEM vs aftermarket tank identification.

Do pre '96 5.2 gal Fat Bob OEM tanks have any specific markings that someone could use to find out if a tank set is OEM or aftermarket (given that the tanks have been repainted and any stickers removed).

I would say that it is almost impossible with paint on.... if its not rusty inside and it fits then it should be a safe bet.
