Default Rear brake question for my EVO buds.

Know this is not posted in the brake section, but I want some replies from fellow EVO riders first. I have a 94 fxstc. I want to keep the single rotor, but am looking for beefing up my rear brakes. I've already put on an aftermarket 4 piston caliper, rebuilt the master cylinder, and bled/replaced fluids. Nw pads. I'm not saying the brake doesn't do a decent job. I can lock it up if I ready step hard on the pedal. The problem is when I'm two up, heavily loaded.... then sometimes it takes so much damn force to really get the brake responding. Has anyone replaced the stock master cylinder/piston combo? I know I can go with newer brake line technology, but if I am going to do all that,i might as well change out master cylinder/piston in my opinion. Thoughts?

Wink

I am running my stock rear master cylinder with a 4-pot caliper with complete success. My stock front is operating my twin 6-pot fronts. So IMHO if your rear master cylinder is in good condition it is up to the job.

I have braided hoses all round (HEL on the rear) and that improves both bakes, in terms of feel and braking effort. I also use full floating rotors front and rear.

Thoughts? Beef up your front brake as well and use them both!
