If you get an engine light, something is still wrong. Keep after it. Any way of seeing what the problem light is with that new ECM?

A couple of things to keep in mind with the S&S replacement ECM vs original MM ECM. The protocal programming is totally different in the two ECM's. S&S program is open loop similar to modern day Delphi base programs without Delphi's closed loop functions that use O2 sensors. S&S has a add on kit to add closed loop functions. Also keep in mind S&S system really reduces the function of the ETS sensor. This sensor is used to control IAS counts for idle. If your idle is all over the board, two possibilities , IAS count is to high VS temp or bad IAS telling ECM to get fuc*ed. Either way gauge screen will tell you. If gauge screen temp gauge shows engine getting hot then cooling off, ETS is screwed. These are air cooled. no thermostat here. Motor should warm up and keep warming up.
