help 96 ultra classic evo

Zippers has good products, probaly a good mod if keeping EFI and feeding some pony's. Don't they cross the Delphi injectors into that system?

Yes bagger they cross Delphi injectors. I'm an EFI guy since I've picked up how they work. I local shop has a FX EVO getting ready to Dyno with a Zipper, S&S big mouth and a wild S&S cam. It's going to be wicked. I'll let you know the numbers when I get'em.

Thanks for all the help folks. The harley dealer in Frederick Colo did right by me. I know that he spent 6 or 7 hours diagnosing the problem but only charged me for one. All the codes come back clean and on my way out the door he mentioned the S&S ECM and program. They did change the plugs out and the bike ran great coming home (about 125 miles). By the way, I did have an ez clutch put in and although it has nothing to do with the engine, it is worth its weight in gold... To add to the sayings "This bike is running finer than a frogs hair." Ever see a frogs hair? Pretty fine aren't they.. Thanks again guys for all your help.

OK, Latest and greatest on this bike. Rode it home from Harley last week, ran great. Rode it yesterday, ran great. Rode it today, ran like garbage again. I ordered the new ECM and software from Harley today, part # 41000012A $480 bucks. Got a 10% discount, thanks Harley for honoring Military guys. Parts will be here in a week. Not riding till then. Will install and we keep everyone posted.
Thanks again folks....... P.S. Still love my Harley, I think.

Hey shovelhead
I installed the new ecm. I rode the bike yesterday and it seems to be running better than ever. No code pick and setting the tps and idle was easy. I do however, get a quick engine light that goes away if I decerlerate hard. The exhaust smell is virtually gone. I was riding with a 2010 ultra and had no problem keeping up. I haven't had the opportunity to go for a long ride. I'll keep you posted. thanks for the help.

Since the bike was available from the factory as both FI or carb:
I spent the time to find all the factory parts to do the conversion. Converting the FI tank to carb is a pain and non reversible so I just got a carb tank. So far, with some good scrounging skills and a paint job of the new tank, I'm at just under $600. To me, way better than keeping the FI. I can fix the carb in the field.
