Default bdl belt drive oil leak

ever since my bdl 3 inch primary belt drive was installed ive had a annoying drip after every ride and sometimes when i start it up after sitting for a week or two. it leaks at the sprocket shaft seal, not bad but annoying. ive replaced the seal 3 or 4 times and tried it each way, flat side out and flat side in. im thinking that i might have to much crankase pressure. i replaced the breather with an aftermarket one and new 3/8ths hose but it still does it. is there anyway to check my crankase pressure. i finally fixed the famous jackshaft grinding with a bullet-proof jackshaft kit, they work perfect, no more starter grinding but would sure like to stop it from leaking oil. any thoughts on this problem.

There's a good chance it leaked well before you had the BDL installed. Probably didn't know it 'cause it went into the primary.

Did you replace the spacer when replacing the seal? Sometimes they get worn and the seal won't work on the spacer surface. If you're just dropping a drip, I wouldn't worry about it until you need to do some other work on the primary, or it gets bad enough that it leaks so much you no longer have to change the oil (like mine).

yes i replaced the spacer. i guess ill to live with it. kinda funny, ive read post about people installing a belt drive to get rid of a leak, not start one. friend of mine says, your always chasing a oil leak.

If youve got enogh miles on your ride...you may be getting blow-by past yor rings. That'll increase your crankase pressure

well the motor was rebuilt shortly before i bought the bike, it has 160 lbs compression and doesn't use any oil or smoke. ive thought about the S&S crankase breather or just ride it.
