Default Arlen Ness Throttle Roller?

Feeling some slop in the throttle assembly. Not sure if the plastic sleeve is worn or what. Also, it has in & out play of about 1/8". At the end of the grip is moves front to back about 1/8"-3/16". Wondering if that AN bearing thingy in the J&P catalog would eliminate this and let the throttle roll on nice and smooth. You're suppose to cut 1/2" of the right side of the bar to make it work.

Had the stainless braided cables.Once I put them on I had the same problem. If I remember I had Barnett cables.Seems when the cables were installed on your scoot the cables were never adjusted.Your throttle cables should be able to be adjusted. You should find the adjustment for your cables right after the 90 degree turn on the cables.

Thanks Low Rider,
Not sure what adjustment you're refering to. The only adjustment I know is the push/pull cable freeplay adjusments at the elbow. Didn't know there was an adjustment for the grip.

That adjustment should take away from of the free play you have in your throttle

Why on earth did you resurrect 2 dead threads to talk about how you bought a pos piece for your bike????????

While I agree with you (I tried one too) that it is a pos piece there was no reason to resurrect two threads to make your point.

The other was not entitled Arlen Ness. I wanted other people to be warned and informed as to how to make your own.

We need a moderator to merge or correct titles.

You're paying $25 for a $1 bearing and an Allen Bolt you already have in your garage.
