No apologies for another favourite, having previously posted a proudly fly-spattered photo of our bike in the USA in 2003. This one is at rest en France, on our way home from our wettest ever tour, to Poland and back home in the UK, proudly wearing over a thousand miles of utter road filth, in 2010. A great trip that proved to be a real marathon, with close to freezing at times - in June!

That's the way I like'em, they were designed to be ridden, not stored.

Is it STILL "wearing the road filth"?

I'd like to see it clean sometime.........

She is very much in pieces at present and once rebuilt will be cleaner than she has been for many years! I haven't taken any photos for several years, except on tour, hence the dirt, or while pulling her apart. Be assured there will be one of her back in one piece - wearing her 'new' coat of blue. Fenders, saddlebags and tank are all replacements. I'm hoping the first freshly painted parts will be delivered soon......

Haven't we been hearing of this new blue paint scheme for quite some time now.... Can't wait to see the old looking like new.

You have indeed! Deciding on colour, getting it just right via samples, painter fitting Hyacinth into his hectic work schedule - it's all go!
