"Motors" can be pretty much idiot proof, jst put power to them and they will spin. Brushes, armeture, bearings, etc, fairly simple!! "Engines" however are far more complex and can act up from any one of numerous problems.

I certainly understand the difference between a "motor" and an "engine", but we ride "motorcycles", not "enginecycles", so there!

Indeed, but "motorcycle" has it's origins in Europe, where "engine" in French is "moteur", in German it's "motor" and Spanish it's also "motor". And of course "cycle" is French.

Se we ARE riding "enginecycles"!

Any one for coffee and cake?!

Well played Uncle G, well played. However having tutored under some of the brightest minds in the business, both they and I still, and will always call them engines as do most of the people on the "continent"!!! LOL

I think in 92 is when they went to the not as good INA cam brg. instead of the full roller Torrington.
so from 1984 to 1991 they used Torrington. From 1992 they used INA. What year Torrington back?

starter and inner primary are easy upgrades

from what i remember, i believe 92 moved to a stronger/thicker jack shaft and a solid lipped jack shaft seal

easy upgrades to the 91 and prior evos
