s&s jetting
I have a 80ci evo with a s&s super e. Im running the ev27 cam and sampson ripsaw pipes (come factory with no baffles) i live in iowa. Right now im running a 70 main jet and .295. I was running a 72 main jet and carb breaking up at 3/4 to full throttle. Just wanting to know what i should be running for jets. Ive set carb the way s&s says to. My plugs are black around the metal thread part after riding it yesterday.

Black on the threads is no big deal. You need to get a tan color on the ceramic in the middle of the plug.

S&s tech said 31 and 74, ive never changed the int jet yet. Sounds a little rich to me?

yours is probably ok, as long as the screw is b/w 1 and 2 turns

It runs like crap 3/4 to full throttle.

I ran a 31 intermediate until just recently when I went back to the 29.5.
Did you adjust the carb without riding it?
What color is the ceramic inner post on your plugs?

Yes ive also put a new acc pump in it.

Then change your main accordingly, but the intermediate sounds ok
