Default Rear Brake reservoir location

Where is it on my bike? My rear brake has been getting spongy and I want to top it off and bleed it properly.

Although yesterday in the heat I noticed that it was very firm, not spongy at all, but then this morning in the cooler temps it was soft again...

It should be down next to your foot brake pedal.

That's exactly what I plan to do, bleed it through with fresh fluid and go from there. Thanks.

I know, I know... the manual doesn't say where it is. I know I could have just followed the hoses from either the caliper or the master cylinder, but I was having a lazy moment, ok? Lol!

He must have mistakenly came over from the "Touring" forum.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I'm not sure my shop manual covers the location, but my owners manual does for sure. Not everyone has an owners manual though. I had to buy mine off of eBay.

Having bought my ole lady new I still have mine. But I am surprised, even over on the Touring forum, how many owners' manuals seem to disappear or evaporate before the bike gets sold on - even on one year old bikes.

D1gger, have you found this darned thing yet?!
