Recently installed Killer Motorcycles Carb, Arlen Ness Big sucker Air cleaner assembly and V&H BigShots Staggered on my '95 Fatboy. Everything runs great and sounds even better. More Horsepower, even better MPG but, I have noticed that while accelerating hard at speeds 50+ i get gas smell. Maintaining cruising speed is clean and clear.
So, could the air cleaner allow too much air turbulence so that the extra shot from the accelerator pump is being dispersed throughout the air cleaner allowing me to smell it?
I have no gas smell in the garage after storing for the night or any other time.

 

sounds like it may be "fuel stand off" not sure of the cure off hand but cerain there is one
