i put her back together today, checked the valves to make sure i didnt tear anything up, then put a nord lock washer between them. if youve never tried nord lock washers i highly recomend it. they arent cheap but they work better than anything ive ever used. we use them at work on the heavy equipment, you can put a bolt in hand tight and it wont rattle out.

Just checked out the nord-lock washers. Never heard of them, but, what a great idea!

i get them for free like i said we use them at work, but i think it would cost some where around 40 bucks to use them on a full engine build, but i used them and the only thing i rattled apart was the push rods. they are the same diameter as allen heads for the bolt size, and the bit into hardend steel so theyll grip anything.

and let me tell you if my old bitch wont rattle them apart nothing will.the only time ive ever seen them fail is when over torqed and they cracked, but that was using a hydro torque on the bolts,nothing on a harley calls for 1000+ ftlbs
