Yep release finger broke thanks bagga, how exactly does it work?

Lever pulls cable. Cable pulls lever. Lever rotates shaft. Finger is on shaft, finger pushes on throw out bearing. TOB pushes on push rod. Push rod pushes clutch apart. Power disconnected to transmission.

For future, get a good retaining clip wrench. that is the key to this job!

And that's the good DR's Harley version of "the thigh bones connected to the knee bone"--!!!! LOL
