I don't buy $35 t-shirts. But I also have to wonder if we are a bunch of 5 and dimers. Other than hanes t-shirts you are not going to get something with a logo on it, much cheaper I suspect. If it is something you have to order once you factor in shipping it really gets $$.
The $3 jab was an exaggerated sarcastic comment. People sometimes use sarcasm to drive a point home by humorously making it stand out as over the top. Some personalities are more literal in their thinking and find the expressive way of using sarcasm as incorrect.. it annoys them so they don’t give merit or credit to the line of thought… not all personality’s party together.

Not the first person to comment about harleys $35 t-shirts.
Whenever I was young, in the '50s and '60s, the nearest Harley-Davidson dealership was in Lawton, Oklahoma. That was several miles away. Lawton is a military town with the army base of Fort Sill.
The picture below is fairly similar to the HD dealership in Lawton, except the Lawton HD building had a pitched roof, and was of wooden construction. The customer base was entirely soldiers.
I am baffled that the MoCo could stay in business with such "Mom & Pop" distribution dealers as this. But they did.

I hate the fact that you don't have to shade the dash so you can see the indicator lights.
I hate the fact that the primary don't sound like you are hitting a shovel with a ball peen when you shift.
I hate the fact that the tires are no longer as hard or get as much traction as a bowling ball.

The loss of the left hand distributor timing by wire was the biggest loss.
Retard the timing. Kick to start and advance it for the ride. I will admit that the dual points were a bitch to deal with.

I didn't have any problem with with dual points but with they added an advance mechanism and they had to be timed with a light was a PITA.
