It was not without it's issues and I felt I was putting more money into it and trying to make myself love this 72 when really I would much prefer a 67 or 69. Or a 67 or 69 Camaro. 68 - 70 Charger. 67 - 70 Mustang fastback. 68 - 77 Cutlass. In the end it was just a 72 Malibu with the SS trimmings. I didn't build the car but felt it could have been done MUCH better. But as I said it had some issues that I did not want to deal with.

My Father in Law gave us his 65 Mustang that needs restored but is a SUPER solid car to build. He isn't in the greatest health and I would like to get it done soon. Not going to happen as long as I have the Chevelle. Plus I had already paid a buddy to do some work on the Chevelle so when I got rid of it I gave him the pro touring front suspension I had to put on my Chevelle plus what I had already given him and he is going to restore the Mustang for me. Body work (little bit) paint and assembly.

Plus it was easy to trade the Chevelle since I already had another car paid for and I would ride my Suzuki 5 times more than that car. Sold the Suzuki when I got the Harleys. Dont miss the car and never looked back. Plus I got a lot of extra stuff in the trade including a trailer.

Like I said, I love my Harley, but I also love my cars. Woulda been a tough decision for me. But in the end, as long as you're happy, that's all that matters. I'm a GM fan, so I'd a traded the Mustang in a New York second. But that's just me.
Love the bikes though.

If you knew some of the issues it would have been easier to let go lol. Couldn't trade the stang since it has been in my wifes family for as long as she can remember plus it needs restored.

Not much to look at yet but here it is. Not a great pic but uou get the idea. Virtually no rust.

Here is what I will be shooting for but may opt for the gone in 60 seconds dark silver and black stripes.

That is sweet!!!!! I hope to restore a VW Beetle for my Mom when I get a shop, but that has nothing on that Mustang.

Nice bikes AND cars there. I learned to drive on my dad's '67 Chevelle. Good times.

I used to own a 1972 Challenger with a 440 ( once had a 383 in it, and was swapped for a fresh 440 when I bought it ) that car was fast...theres something bout the sound of a big block mopar thats sweet.

I'd love to get a 1969 Mustang fastback one day and transplant a 90's era 5.0 litre, 5 speed in it. Then drive it like a stole it.

Good luck finding one for a decent price these days though.
