Have an S&S super E and I must leave the enrichener slightly, more than slightly open. If you close it then there is no gas flow.

How did you clean it? Idle circuit plugged? Float level?

IS the idle mixture screw in place or did it fall out ?

You have more air than fuel so, something is wrong

Then your carb isn't set up correctly either! It is not as bad as IronWright's, but needs attention.

IronWright, your poor carb still has problems. It may not be as clean as you intend, or even have something blocked as a result of cleaning it. There are tiny holes and passages in the darned things only put there to catch us out! The spitting is just tellin' ya to get the doctor....

Same question:

Gas spitting is possibly a valve issue, like an intake hanging up. From there it's major evaluation time.

Let's hope it's crud lodged somewhere that can be washed or blown out of it's hiding spot.

I don't know why you are running such large jets on an otherwise stock bike??? Is the VOES vacuum line connected at both ends??? Sounds like a large air leak..
