90 FLTC Engine Removal
#52
Just got back from the garage after doing some more cleaning. Engine bay area is all ready for the remanned engine to come back, which should be in a week or so.
I looked at the oil filter adapter and I don't see how it tightens. The top is against the bottom of the tranny case and the threaded adapter the filter spins onto has no nut. Is it a hex inside the threaded adapter? Is maybe the nut missing? I really can't see how it's held on there...
I did find a couple really nice looking places to hide small red LED strips I got from Harbor Freight so they shine down on the road under the engine but are totally hidden from above.

My favorite :
When you are putting back the compensator nut: put two drops of red loctite (as the moco manual says), not more! Otherwise you are in serious trouble should you need to take it off again! Then tighten it to the whatever specified huge torque, while having your heavy friend sitting on the bike and holding down the rear brake (in high gear obviously).
