Default Homelink Installation

I've finally wired in homelink to my Ultra. Pull into my driveway and just hit the button....door opens.

Anyways, I bought a homelink module off of ebay for around $20 or so. I spliced into the headlight wire to get power.

I spliced into the odometer reset button wires to the module. This was the most difficult part of the project. Had to be very careful in soldering to the module and to get the right connection.

Velcroed the homelink to the top of the radio.

Now, when I arrive home....I simply push the odometer button. I realize I can only have one programmed at a time this way. I also understand that if I want to reprogram the module, the fairing would have to come off. However, it looks factory and nobody would ever know there is homelink in the fairing.

If I didn't have the eletronic speedometer. I would have bought the harley Odometer reset button and soldered it to the homelink module. Probably would have placed that button on the other side.

If I was more computer savy....I would have taken pictures.
