How do the spokes compare to stock HD in regards to oxidization? I can polish my spokes up (Stock HD) and in a couple weeks they are oxidized again, garage kept. I live in FL, so the humidity is typically higher.

Are those stainless steel spokes or chrome plated?

Thanks...

Mine are the twisted spoke model and they are all chrome. I added some clear to where the spokes meet the hub and rim. I am sure overkill but they have been there since 2011 and zero surface rust and they still shine like new. Been in many rain storms and I wash it all the time.

Yeah the Fat Spokes are Chrome Plated too. Keep a coat of was on them and you should be fine. Mine are still in perfect condition with no pitting. But I don't live in a salt air climate like FL either. Which is why I say to keep a good coat of wax on them.

No kidding. The DNA wheels appear to have stainless steel spokes which I would think would be far inferior to chrome spokes.

I called them today and they are out of the 18x3.5 wheel. I wanted to get a 18x4.25 but they don't make one. On my 2002 FXST, the widest I can go is 160/18-18 due to fender and frame horns which should fit fine on a 3.5 wheel anyway.

Do you guys know if I will be able to use the stock (L) & (R) spacers in both front and back? Will it pretty much bolt right up without any pulley issues?

I realize that I may have to get a different front fender.. but that's ok.

Hey Chris,
Nice to see you still remember the little people, us in Evo land. Lol
What spacers did you need for the front? Or was it a direct swap?
Thanks,
Tom

Ha. Little people. The 96 is still in the stable and gets out for weekly rides and I still lurk around the Evo forum in case I can chime in and lend a hand. I remember having a huge problem locating part numbers for those wheels...they don't make it easy.

Take care, ride safe. I'll see ya around.
