here are some pictures of a pretty ruff front dresser style front fender that I picked up for $10 at the swapmeet. Not sure if I am going to use it. To me it was worth the $10 to try cutting it up. My wife didn't agree with me, but she expects me to do this type of stuff so I didn't see the dog house this time. I also bought a bobtail fender and a horn. (pics later) Not sure how short I should cut this fender off but it is starting to look alittle better after a little sanding on it.

here is the horn I got. It is for a newer style springer classic that i'm pretty sure mouted on the front of them. I liked the look and thought it would look good on the side of the bike. I had to make a mounting bracket for it wich was pretty simple.
I'm happy with the way it turned out. I think it will look better once the chrome primary cover is back on.
Opinions are welcome and encouraged

Man, that looks great! Good work! Can't wait to see it finished. I would love to have an old project like this! Now you got me hunting around on craigslist...

Default question about your horn

I was looking at updating my horn on my 87 FLSTC with a louder airhorn or electric. Thats a nice style horn. Is that horn you are using going to be in the way of your fuel petcock since you used a horn for a newer year? Was it much louder and is the mouting bracket you made basically a L shaped to push it out a bit? thanks.
