Last fall (Age of 43) I just purchased the same bike with 19k miles for 6k...you did very well. In my defense in Canada our bikes are priced a little higher then the US.

It's a great bike!

I am in the process of replacing EVERYTHING rubber on it, started with the original Dunlop Elites (good tread left but dry rot cracks and harder than the wife just before payday).

I also have a 98 RKC 14 inch bars s&s intake and cams done runs like an animal and may be for sale alway looking for change

I also would like to know what makes the 98 so special

I just picked up an extraordinarily clean '98 Fatboy as my first Harley (for my 44th birthday). I couldn't be happier, but when you buy your own presents, they usually make you smile.

HD did some 'improvements' to the V-twin motor after 98.

Always looking for a change, rather, an addition. Currently kinda fixated on a RG with a 120R. Or an old RK with a 124 S&S would suffice.

What makes them so special is that it is the last year before the motor change a great running motor

so is the 1995 evo motor the same as a 99? are they not as good?
