I know its been a while but I got a chrome outer primary from Robsusedparts the cover I got from him ( which I specifically asked for 89 flht cover ) had a needle bushing for the jackshaft in the cover, my original cover has a bushing so thinking to myself maybe someone put in the needle bearing because they had the earlier smaller jackshaft as the diameter of the cavity in the outer covers were the same. So I took the chrome cover to my buddy the machinist and we removed the smaller needle bearing and installed the 89 sized jackshaft bushing called for. So it now seems after I tried to lineup the the cover over the inner cover that the placement of the jackshaft bushing or needle bearing in its original form is offset from the 89 cover. So whats up here?
