Evo's are old and make noises, if you chase every one you will never get to ride...

I use "Dry Glide" on squeaky belts, works a treat....who'd have thought...a Harley Dry Glide?
Also, I find that on baggers/tourers the joint where the rear exhaust header goes over the starter motor and exits on the left side of the bike can be a squeaky little ****....I use exhaust assembly paste and a reprofiled clamp to cure it.

A rear belt rubbing against the outer flange of the transmission sprocket will squeak. I would not cover up with belt lube, it is not suppose to rub against flange. Probably rear wheel is out of alignment. A very minor adjustment at the rear wheel will pull the belt away from the transmission sprocket flange.

When the drive belt is loose on my 97, I get a squeaking noise like you describe hear mostly during acceleration & deceleration. Check your belt tension by twisting the belt. Should only twist to about 45 degrees. Mine would twist to about 75 to 80 degrees when I heard the squeak noise. Just moved the rear wheel back a bit and noise is gone. Cheap and easy to check anyway.
